Performing the Measurements:
As soon as the experiment is defined and the measurement is started the measurement process runs fully automatic, controlled by the instrument. The samples are exposed to a constant airflow with controlled relative humidity and temperature. The permanent air circulation allows a fast adjustment of the samples to the equilibrium state, the so called Dynamic Vapor Sorption. Experiments run unattended due to the automated measurement and data acquisition. Any variations and drift effects within the measurement process are recognized and compensated via the internal reference sample (>>). This results in excellent accuracy and reproducibility of the moisture induced mass changes.
The fact that the samples are measured simultaneously under exactly the same conditions povides ideal operating conditions i.e. for batch to batch controll in quality assurance or studying subtle differences between similar materials.
